Cord Demonstration Day 2025
We had a fantastic turnout for our 1937 Cord 812 Phaeton demonstration this past Saturday, and this classic didn’t disappoint. 🚘✨ Our curator, Sam Grate, walked us through the ins and outs of this striking machine—from its sleek hidden headlights to the innovative front-wheel drive system. He shared cool design details, historical tidbits, and even fired it up so guests could hear that engine roar. A few fun facts we learned: 🛠️ 1937 was the final production year for the Auburn Automobile Company ⚡ The Cord offered optional supercharging, boosting horsepower from 125 to a thrilling 175 🛋️ It featured custom bodies for extra head and leg room 💰 And it originally sold for $2,595 (what a deal, right?) The Cord was seen as the last great hope for the company—and what a stylish swan song it was. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped us celebrate this engineering marvel from the Jazz Age! #Cord812 #ClassicCarLove #ACDMuseum #CordDemoDay #ArtDecoDrive #IndianaHistory #AutomotiveElegance
