1960 AC Aceca Out of 50 Year Ownership This rare 1960 AC Aceca is an exciting find just out of 50 year ownership. It comes accompanied by an extensive history file. It was originally a white car but is currently blue with tan interior. The alloy 6-Cylinder AC engine in the car is a correct but non-matching numbers unit. When the previous owner bought the car in 1970, its original engine had already been replaced with a Ford 260 V8. After a few years, he decided to source a proper AC 6-Cylinder engine and this is the engine that's currently in the car (CL 7 51 2315 WT). He was an active member of the AC Owners Club and the car comes with much correspondence throughout the years. The car has been sitting off the road for several decades and is not currently running. It is now ready for an easy restoration. It comes complete, solid, straight, and intact. As a hardtop version of the AC Ace, the fastback-styled Aceca Coupe debuted at the Earls Court Motor Show in 1954. The Aceca's hatchback body was constructed in hand-formed aluminum over a tubular steel framework, while the tubular chassis was more substantially built than the Ace's. The result was a well-engineered, light in weight and extremely pretty GT car in the best AC tradition. The combination of a fine-handling chassis and a power-to-weight ratio helped the Ace version to numerous successes in production sports car racing, arguably its finest achievement being a 1st-in-class and 7th overall finish at Le Mans in 1959. Chassis no. AEX 699 Engine no. CL 7 51 2315 WT (non-matching 6-Cylinder AC engine) Rare and Desirable AC Aceca Out of 50 Years of Loving Ownership Offered with an Extensive History File The Ideal Candidate for Straightforward Restoration
