MK2 NOVA KIT CAR WITH 1914cc TURBO'D AIRCOOLED ENGINE

Phil Unsworth was out testing his Mk2 Nova Kit car. Phil explains the build.....The shell is made from a mix of mk1 and mk2 nova kit car bits and the floor pan is a 1971 beetle floor pan that I converted to IRS, using a Porsche 944 rear end. It has a funny car style roll cage and runs a built beetle gearbox with a 1914cc type 1 beetle engine that has a draw through turbo using a holly 4 barrel carb. This was the first test outing for the car, and the the only problem they encountered, was the oil breather failing on the last run . Best run was a 12.80 @ 108mph.
