ELVA Courier - What Actually Happened?

Car
1950s1955youtube

The Elva Courier was a sports/racing car produced by Elva Cars. It was Quick, Beautiful, ... and ... it's Gone Forever! The principal, Frank G. Nichols, created the Engineering Company in 1955 and the first Elva Courier was produced in 1958. The Courier was marketed primarily to an export market to fulfil the demand for an inexpensive sports racing car. Initially, the Courier was available in the UK only in kit form for home builders. The car was fast, light, inexpensive and the Courier story could have played out better but for some financial misfortune. ELVA Couriers came with MG power trains (with the exception of later Mark IV - Lotus Twin Cam version), earning the reputation of the Courier being an MG in drag. Be with us Live when 7Spot presents several Courier owners who will show us their cars and tell us their Courier stories.
